Myanmar verifies data of 3.5 lakh Rohingya, identifies 2.5 lakh as its own

So far, they have been able to verify the information of only 3.5 million people from the list of Rohingyas sent to Myanmar by the Bangladesh government. Out of that, the country has identified 2.5 million people as its citizens.

Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman gave this information in response to a question from Chattogram-15 MP Shahjahan Chowdhury during the Question and Answer Session of the National Parliament today, Monday. In the absence of the Foreign Minister, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaid Islam answered the questions of the MPs. Earlier, the parliament meeting began at 3.30 pm under the chairmanship of Deputy Speaker Kaiser Kamal.
