2 more children die with measles and measles symptoms
Two more children have died in the country in the last 24 hours till 8 am today, Saturday, due to measles and measles symptoms. Of these, one child died in Dhaka and the other child died in Sylhet division.
According to the information given by the Department of Health, 145 children have died with measles symptoms from March 15 to 8 am today. And 24 children have died of measles.
In the last 24 hours, 553 children have been admitted to the hospital with measles symptoms. And in the same period, 80 people have been diagnosed with measles.
During this period, the highest number of 268 patients with measles symptoms were admitted in Dhaka division. And the lowest number of 4 patients were admitted in Rangpur division. In addition, 413 of the patients admitted with measles symptoms have been discharged from the hospital. Of these, the highest number of 196 patients have been discharged from the hospital in Dhaka division and 68 in Chittagong division.
In addition, out of 14,385 people with measles symptoms in the last 28 days, 9,463 have been admitted to the hospital. Of them, 2,489 have been diagnosed with measles. And 7,222 have returned home from the hospital after recovering.
