Government decision to close shops and shopping malls will remain in effect: Energy Minister
The government's decision to close shops and shopping malls by 6 pm to deal with the country's energy crisis in a war situation will remain in force, said Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmud Tuku. He made this statement after a meeting with leaders of the Shop and Shopping Mall Business Owners Association at the capital's Bidyut Bhaban on Saturday (April 4). At the meeting, the minister said that this strict decision has been taken due to the energy crisis and power conservation caused by the situation in the Middle East. Considering the current situation, there is no scope for changing this deadline. He urged businessmen to respect the government's decision in the national interest.
