It said that in a joint meeting of the Standing Committee of the Bangladesh Shopkeepers' Association and the Dhaka Metropolitan Shopkeepers' Association, it was decided to close all shops, commercial premises and shopping malls in Bangladesh including Dhaka by 8 pm to cooperate with the government in saving electricity and energy due to the international energy crisis. However, hotels, pharmacies and shops providing essential services, raw markets will remain outside the scope of the Bangladesh Shopkeepers' Association, it said.
