Two clinics and diagnostic centers fined in Narayanganj
Fines have been imposed on two healthcare institutions for operating two separate mobile courts in Narayanganj Sadar and Siddhirganj areas for license-related irregularities. The operation was conducted in Narayanganj today (Wednesday, April 1).
The drive initiated by the district administration was first conducted at the ‘Medi Health Diagnostic Center (Unit-2)’ located in Nabab Salimullah Road area of Narayanganj Sadar Upazila. When evidence of conducting diagnostic activities without a license was found there, the institution was fined Tk 30,000 under the relevant law. The fine was collected immediately.
On the other hand, a separate operation conducted at the ‘Jainpur Clinic’ located in the Jalkuri bus stand area of Siddhirganj found that the license of the institution was not updated. For this crime, the clinic was fined Tk 20,000 under the relevant law. Narayanganj District Deputy Commissioner Md. Raihan Kabir told reporters this information.
The district administration has informed that such campaigns will continue in the public interest and strict action will be taken against any irregularities in the healthcare sector.
